INFLUENCE SPEAKS..
Nearly everybody you see on today’s social media platforms claims to be an Influencer. This is because social media rewards visibility, not necessarily real influence. A few viral posts can make you “look” influential even if your actual impact is zero.
Influence is not about having a big audience; it’s not about being visible or loud, and it's not about posting a lot on social media. To have influence means you can effect change in what other people think, feel, or do, without forcing them. Influence is not also about your status in society; it’s about impact.
Influence is used for shaping decisions, beliefs, and actions. “Influence” starts by becoming the example you yourself want to see. In other words, you communicate with yourself first by becoming what others will see in almost everything you do – It is called “Branding”
If you have influence, people will trust your opinion, views, and ideas. They will try something new because you‘re the one who recommended it. Influence can cause others to emulate your behaviour, your dress style, your hair cut, even when it’s not good on them. Yes! And will voluntarlily come to you for guidance.
Your ability to influence people is more important than your ability to directly control them. The issue here is whether the influence you exert is good or bad. I need a questionnaire to be filled by your children, family, and friends, please.
A single voice of a trusted influencer can inspire change, spark great ideas, and even alter the course of someone else’s future. Influence is a deeply powerful, emotionally tool to effect a change.
You never know who's watching YOU – It could be your own child, whom you usually sent to buy weeds or cigarettes down the road, your sibling or wife, with whom you usually keep the stolen goods. Emotions and inner life are transmitted like viruses via words and actions.
People are more likely to be influenced by those they respect or those they believe understand them. Authenticity, honesty, trust, and genuine intention are the foundation upon which ideas spread and grow. People are naturally drawn to those who demonstrate integrity and reliability over time.
Actions often speak louder than words, and when your behaviour aligns with your values, credibility grows. This credibility strengthens your ability to inspire and lead others toward positive outcomes.
Which organisation would want a bad influencer to PR their product? The only way you can turn a bad influence into a good one is by consistently being a good influence YOURSELF.
