When you hate someone, every small mistake is a BIG mistake. On the other hand, when you love someone, every BIG mistake looks small. Unless you open up, your mind can work against you. You’re trying to live your life, but your brain won’t stop focusing on bad things that could happen. Whether or not those things actually happen, thoughts of this nature can be so frustrating and is difficult to reverse.
It takes a lot of energy to be worried all the time. In life, we spend a lot of time talking about what’s wrong, not as much on what’s right. No matter how hard you try, people only notice when things go wrong.
Our recent trip to Kigali reveals exactly how negativity bias operates, and how failure to overcome our brains’ fixation on bad stuff can work against progress. The general bias is focused on why Kilgali of all places? But the reverse was our experience, a hub for innovation, sustainability, historical cultural exchange, books, and a gateway to gorilla trekking attractions.
You have worked super hard to get things right, but sadly, no one gives you credit for doing right. The moment you slip up, even a little bit, everyone seems to jump in and point it out. It’s scary how people quickly swoop on your faults. Our minds zoom on the tiniest errors, almost shouting for attention, while the good stuff gets ignored.
I am amazed at how strange things happen in our lives, and it’s pretty tricky to figure out why. The response of the first person that heard about our Kigali experience was : ”And you came back alive? People’s brains are wired to focus more on mistakes than all the good stuff they do.
Let’s look at it this way: You’re at the workplace, where you put in your best every single day, but nobody seems to notice. It’s like your hard work has disappeared into thin air. But then one day, you make a small mistake, and suddenly, it’s like the whole world is set on fire.
One way to try to deal with this is to remember that everyone makes mistakes, and it’s just part of being human. You can also change the way you think, instead of just seeing only mistakes, you can try to appreciate all the effort and hard work that goes into getting it right.
Even if it’s not perfect, celebrate the progress and efforts. Most life’s blessing experiences usually come from the most unlikely places. Just get set for Kigali.

I have heard of people scouting around for mentors, godfathers, and helpers, even on Facebook and Instagram. Those who do this are turning true help upside down, and the true helpers may never come their way. It’s not a curse.
It's wrong to go around shopping for would-be helpers, mentors, or so-called godfathers. We are prone to making decision mistakes, and the errors made bothers on a matter of your life, it can be tragic. And of course, you can’t afford to gamble with your life at such a stage.
In fact, people don’t look for mentors or helpers here and there, rather, such people naturally flow to you at a point of impact in your life. Due to decision flaws, you may even be unknowingly creating a barrier for yourself through the wrong choices.
You can identify your true helpers because they are people who are divinely and strategically positioned to help you arrive at your destinations. Your true helpers are those who use their networks to open up opportunities for you. Most times, you don’t truly know who they are because they don't look like HELPERS.
Many people come into your life and become a light. They help you with your current problems, cheer you up when you are sad, and motivate you to become better.
However, there are other people you meet under specific circumstances that make you have them around, not by choice, but because circumstances of your life made you be their friend, not because you really decided it.
It doesn’t matter who they are, anyone who will not add value to your life needs to be unfollowed, if you don’t, you will be downgraded to their level of thinking and development, get stranded or stagnate on your journey.
For the same reason above, an 11-day journey had once turned into 40 years of adverse experiences, or you want to ask Moses? Shine your eyes
